Everyday People, Everyday Heroes
What does community mean to you?
Maybe it's the people who live in your neighborhood, or maybe it's your network of family and friends. Or maybe community is your classmates and teachers, or your co-workers and colleagues.
Community is more than just where we live — it’s the network of people who support, encourage, and uplift us, and it's what makes us feel like we belong.
And at the heart of every community are the everyday heroes. They may not make headlines, but their actions ripple outward in powerful ways. They're the person checking on an elderly neighbor, or the teacher staying late to help a struggling student. They're the person raising their voice to fight for your rights, or quietly working to support those around them.
These are the people who strengthen the ties that hold us together. They remind us that kindness matters and that individual actions — whether large or small — can create a lasting impact.
That’s why we launched the Everyday People, Everyday Heroes Campaign — to celebrate the ordinary people doing extraordinary things right here in our communities.
We invite you to think about the people in your life who inspire you, encourage you, and make a difference. Who is your everyday hero?
Nominate the person who inspires you here: Everyday Heroes Nomination
Your hero will be featured on our Hero Wall, and each month one nominator or nominee will be randomly selected for a giveaway. It’s our way of saying thank you for helping lift up the good around us.
And stay tuned! We’ll also be sharing Hero Projects — creative, student-driven ways to spread connection and kindness across our community.
Let’s come together to celebrate what unites us, honor the heroes among us, and inspire others to carry that light forward.
