Every year, the Binghamton University LPP staff has the privilege of working alongside some of the most dedicated, hard-working young people in our area. This past year was no exception. In fact, the 2024–2025 school year brought some of the most inspiring achievements we’ve seen yet, and we couldn’t be more proud of our students.
One of the milestones that stands out the most is our graduation rate of 95.8%. This number is more than a statistic; it represents perseverance, growth, and countless moments of students making the choice to push forward, even in the face of countless challenges.
Many of our seniors have been with LPP for multiple years, and some since middle school. We’ve watched them grow, finding their footing and becoming confident young adults preparing for the next phase of their lives. Some are heading to college, some to the military, and others directly into the workforce. Each path is meaningful, and we are honored to have played a part in helping them get there.
A Year Defined by Investment in Student Success
Behind the scenes of these accomplishments is a tremendous amount of work—both from students and from the LPP staff who support them every step of the way. This year’s numbers show just how committed we are to providing a truly comprehensive support system.
7,190 Hours of Advisement
These one-on-one advisement sessions gave students space to talk openly about academic concerns, personal challenges, and future goals. Whether they needed help choosing classes, advocating for themselves, or navigating life events, our advisors were there listening, guiding, and encouraging.
3,662 Hours of Mentoring
Mentoring has always been at the heart of LPP. Over the past year, mentors poured thousands of hours into helping students build resilience, confidence, and focus. For many participants, these mentors became trusted adults they leaned on, learned from, and looked up to.
1,489 Hours of Academic Immersion
Immersive academic support allowed students to dive deeper into the subjects that matter most. This wasn’t just homework help, it was skill-building, concept reinforcement, and hands-on learning designed to strengthen their academic foundation. Our academic immersion hours more than doubled last year’s total, which speaks to our students’ enthusiasm and commitment to learning.
3,731 Hours of Employment Preparation
From resume writing to interview practice to hands-on job readiness workshops, students gained real-world knowledge they’ll carry into their careers. We also more than doubled our employment prep hours to make sure our students were ready to take their next steps.
1,717 Hours of Service Learning
Our students gave back to their community in meaningful ways, contributing time, energy, and compassion. Service learning helped them build leadership skills, foster empathy, and see firsthand the impact they can make when they step forward to help others.
Looking Ahead With Pride and Excitement
Every hour spent, every milestone earned, and every challenge overcome in the past year represents a student taking one step closer to achieving their dreams. These students showed up for themselves and for their futures, and we are incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished.
We can’t wait to see where their journeys take them next. Whether they’re pursuing higher education, serving in the military, or starting their careers, we know they are ready. Their dedication, resilience, and hard work have already proven that they can thrive wherever they go.
And as always, their "Liberty family" will be cheering them on every step of the way.
