Feature Friday End of Year Wrap-Up
What is Feature Friday?
Every Friday during the school year we celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our Liberty students. These weekly spotlights showcase the diverse talents, achievements, and acts of kindness that make our students shine.
As the year comes to a close, we wanted to share a few more students who have really impressed us with their actions and accomplishments.
Kenyon
The Johnson City Middle School LPP is proud to recognize Kenyon Duncan for his fantastic growth and dedication this school year. Kenyon has consistently challenged himself, which has led to impressive improvements in his Academics and Attendance.
Kenyon has accomplished all of this while successfully managing his responsibilities as a Student-Athlete. Furthermore, his willingness to be a true role model has positively influenced and inspired his peers.
Natalia
The West Middle School LPP is highlighting Natalia Alvarez-Byrnes, an 8th grade student. Natalia is a bright student and has maintained a high honor roll average since the 6th grade. Throughout her years at West, she played soccer, participates in Chorus and Orchestra, and has been in the school plays.
Earlier this year, Natalia was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. She’s preparing for an upcoming concert this month. We’re so proud of Natalia and look forward to seeing what she’ll accomplish next.
Hailey
Hailey Vega is an 8th grade LPP star at EMS. As a consistent honor roll student, Hailey is a leader in and out of the classroom. The focus shifts from the soccer field onto the stage for Hailey as the year rolls on, she is active in band and is currently preparing for the 2025 winter concert at EMS on Dec. 18th.
Hailey continuously works to be the positive change she wants to see in the world and for that we thank her.
Hannah
Hannah Muir is a junior at Johnson City High School. Although Hannah has only been part of Liberty for about a year, her positive energy and impact have been felt from day one!
Hannah is a dedicated and high-achieving student, consistently maintaining a 90+ average while taking on several advanced and honors-level courses, and balancing her extracurriculars, sports, and social life with ease. Hannah especially enjoys reading and often goes out of her way to help her peers in math or any subject they share together. She is also an active participant of JC’s amazing music department, lending her talents to both Roaring Voices and orchestra!
We are so proud to have Hannah as part of our Liberty family -- we can’t wait to see what she will achieve next!
Lynette
Lynette Cleveland is a senior at Susquehanna Valley HS and this is her 4th year as a member of LPP. Lynette has been excelling academically this year. She is currently taking multiple college level courses and also attends the BOCES program to further develop skills for her future career.
This quarter Lynette has volunteered at various community events, 15+ hours in just the past two weeks! She is always willing to volunteer and enjoys helping others! She’s kind, helpful and brings the fun in whatever she’s doing! I’m so proud of Lynette and excited for her future! Love ya Netty
